Paul Lycos came to South Africa for a job in aviation – but his love for the country made him decideto set up a restaurant inspired by his heritage instead. Paul comes from a long line of restaurateurs – in fact, his family has been in the restaurant business for 70 years.
Despite food being his passion, Paul pursued a career in aviation law. This led him to South Africa,where he was offered a job managing a small charter and cargo airline. However his passion tugged at his heart whenever he took clients for meals at Nelson Mandela Square. For almost six months, he saw his current restaurant space stand empty.
