"The fear of rejection is the biggest problem, I think, with starting a business."

The clothing business that made something from nothing

Siku Dlanga has always had a love for clothing – something which she wanted to share with others. With a few well-placed Facebook posts and some creativity, she made this dream a reality.

Siku is the founder of Amacebo Alusizi, a local online boutique clothing store. The Xhosa name of the business means "making something out of nothing" – and this is exactly what Siku did.

The business was born from her Facebook profile, where she posts items for sale with the #amaceboalusizi hashtag.

Siku chose online as it requires less starting capital and allows for increased interaction with customers.

She was hesitant to start the business at first, worrying about the reaction she would receive.
